When should I send a Hanukkah invitation?
Two to three weeks before the night you chose. Earlier if guests are traveling.
Hanukkah
Name which night, the time for candles, and send a Hanukkah invitation people can answer.
Hanukkah lasts eight nights, and a new candle is lit each evening. People gather for the blessings, a shared meal, and a bit of light in the darkest stretch of the year.

A great way to invite people for Hanukkah is to say which of the eight nights you are hosting and what time the candles will be lit. Add dinner, latkes, or gifts only when that helps someone decide.
Send it two to three weeks ahead. If that night is also Shabbat, say so, and name the city when guests are coming from another place.

Write the civil date and the night, such as the fourth night. That is enough.
